50 Cent Will Executive Produce New Original Series ‘The Oath’
50 Cent is putting back on his executive producer hat following the major success of his Power series on STARZ network. The Get Rich or Die Tryin rapper has just signed on to executive produce another original series called The Oath, which will debut on the online platform, Crackle.
According to Billboard, the season is 10 episodes long and covers the story of real-life gang culture and how the organizations are ran in the streets. Former L.A. Sheriff’s deputy Joe Haplin has reportedly signed on to write the episodes.
“I am very excited to be partnering with Sony Pictures Television Networks and Crackle,” 50 told Billboard. “To be able to bring this story to life is something I’m looking forward to and Joe Halpin’s personal experience will make this unlike anything that’s been seen before.”
This isn’t the only series that Fifty has signed on to work with for the online provider. The MC will also be executive producing an hour-long drama titled RPM. Reports say the show will tell the story of “a car salesman who turns to a life of crime in order to help his family’s financial struggles.”
We’re not exactly sure of an exact release date for either show, but if they’re anything like Power, we should be glued to our screens.
