Fans Name “Alternative Facts” Rappers Spit in Their Lyrics
Kellyanne Conway, counselor to President Trump, went on NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday (Jan. 22) and said the White House had put forth "alternative facts" about the size of Trump's inauguration crowd.
Obviously, the phrase went viral on social media, and people quickly began sharing their own hilarious "alternative facts," a.k.a. complete lies, about anything and anyone. Today (Jan. 24), XXL asked its Twitter followers to "name some of your favorite #AlternativeFacts rappers have spit in their lyrics."
For example, the Twitter user @MIKExMILLIONS poked fun at Weezy's grammar (or lack thereof) typing, "Weezy F baby and the F is for phenomenal." Another fan made fun of Lil Uzi Vert for constantly rapping about switching his flow. In the Twitter user's opinion, Uzi is pretty one-dimensional with his flow.
Meanwhile, @Barasa89 dragged Kanye West's lyric in "I Don't Like" (Remix), tweeting, "@XXL #alternativefacts I was in too deep like Mekhi Phife." Of course, it was Omar Epps who appeared in the movie In Too Deep, not Mekhi Phifer.
In other Kanye West-related news, there are rumors that Yeezy is preparing to release some surprise projects soon. You can read up on that information here.
