Body Found in Detroit Field Confirmed as 13-Year-Old Deontae Mitchell
The Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed that the body found in a field in Detroit is that of 13-year-old abduction victim Deontae Mitchell.
The Detroit Free Press reports that an autopsy will be conducted Friday.
Police arrested the prime suspect in the abduction (and now murder), Gregory Walker, in Ohio. The woman he was with at the time was also arrested.
Police are still searching for two more suspects in connection with the crime - Ernest Coleman, 30, 5'10", and Roy Portis, 51, 6'1", of Detroit. Police have not specified their connection to the crime.
Deontae was abducted by a man around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Deontae's cousin, who was with him at the time, has said that Deontae had taken money that a seemingly drunk man had dropped on the ground outside of a store while he was urinating on the side of the building.
