The VH1 Hip Hop Honors are airing in less than a week after a six year hiatus, and more news is coming out of the woodwork about the star-studded evening, which will honor Queen LatifahMissy Elliott, Lil Kim and Salt-N-Pepa. Eve has been tapped to host the show, which will  be the ultimate ladies night, saluting female trailblazers in hip-hop.

The night will also feature some star-studded tributes to the women being honored, and it's just been announced that Common, Naughty By Nature, Da Brat and MC Lyte will all to pay tribute to Latifah Monday night (July 11), Billboard reports. They'll be joining Rah Digga, Suga T and Yo-Yo in what's sure to be a great night of performances.

But Queen Latifah won't only be cheering from her front-row seat. She's reportedly joining Monie Love to perform "Ladies First," which will be the first time they've performed together in years.

Of course, Latifah is incredibly worthy of tribute. The artist/actress has several Grammys wins and nominations under her belt, including a win for Best Solo Rap Performance in 1994 as well as several nominations including Best Jazz Vocal Album in 2005 and Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album in 2008. Beyond music, she's been a trendsetter in entertainment, even earning an Oscar nomination for her work in the musical, Chicago. She also won a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries for her contributions to Bessie.

Fittingly, Queen Latifah will also be executive producing the VH1 Hip Hop Honors this year through her Flavor Unit entertainment company.

VH1 Hip Hop Honors: All Hail The Queens take place on July 11 at Lincoln Center David Geffen Hall in New York City at 9 p.m. EST.
