Damian Marley has announced that he'll be opening a weed dispensary in Colorado, reports Billboard

The dispensary, named Stony Hill, will open in partnership with Colorado-based dispensary company Tru Cannabis. The shop is set to open next Tuesday, Sept. 22, and like most of the dispensaries in Denver, will feature a full line of cannabis-based products, including edibles, extracts and a variety of different strains.

"Stony Hill is a place in Jamaica I grew up so it has a lot of significance," Marley told Billboard about the area in St. Andrew's Parish near Kingston.

Marley, who has been a long time supporter of legalizing marijuana is excited to now be part of the industry.

"I didn't know in my lifetime I'd be opening a dispensary," Marley, who is Bob Marley's youngest son, tells Billboard. "We've always been advocates of legalizing marijuana and we always had the hope in our lifetime that we'd be involved in something like this, but I didn't predict this would happen."

Stony Hill is also the name of Marley's forthcoming fourth album, which is due out later this year. As for the dispensary, the 38 year-old Grammy winner says that he has more cannabis-related business ventures in the pipeline, though he wouldn't share specifics.

Marley is hosting a brand launch party for the dispensary on Sept. 22 at Denver's Field House.
