Donald Trump, the Republican nominee for president, has made many bold claims on the campaign trail that were later disproven, and now, his assertion that he is a bigger draw than both Beyonce and Jay has been swiftly debunked thanks to PolitiFact and Billboard. As seen in the above Twitter video, Trump says in Raleigh, N.C., "Beyonce and Jay Z, I like them, I like them. And you know what they do? I get bigger crowds than they do. It's true. I get far bigger crowds."

Except that it's not true. A sample size of three Trump rallies held in Oklahoma, Dallas and Mobile, Alabama shows an average crowd size of 27,000. Contrast that with the attendance of Jay Z and Beyonce’s 2014 On The Run tour which averaged 45,700 attendees over 16 North American shows and one in Paris and the claim falls apart. Beyonce's own Formation tour this past year sold out 49 North American shows, averaging 45,400 attendees.

“To fully vet this bizarre claim,” explains PolitiFact, “it’s worth noting that Trump’s rallies are free. Tickets to Beyonce in the swing state of Florida cost $40-$275 this year. Based on the latest Billboard numbers, Trump draws crowds similar to Phish.”

Beyonce and Jay Z have recently endorsed Hillary Clinton, appearing in a new commercial alongside Chance The Rapper and J. Cole in support of her candidacy.
