The school will be located in the former Grand Rapids Public Museum building on Jefferson Avenue. The grant was presented by The XQ Super School Project, which is backed by Laurene Powell Jobs, widow of Apple founder Steve Jobs, according to WZZM. The Museum High School will be an continue the courses GRPS teaches to the 6th, 7th and soon to be 8th grade classes at the Grand Rapids Public Museum on Pearl Street.
