Until Saturday, April 27th at 9:00 PM, northbound U.S.-131 has been closed for construction updates.

There is one lane open for northbound US 131 from Burton Street to Pearl Street, which has been extremely hectic to deal with during rush hour.

However, all of that is about to change! It is never over!

What Is Happening With US-131 Now?

The city is switching your hectic and headache-inducing commute throughout Grand Rapids.

Once the northbound US-131 closure happens on Saturday, April 27th, the southbound traffic will now become an issue for Grand Rapids drivers.

Southbound US-131 sill close from Burton Street to 28th Street starting early Sunday, April 28th.

The southbound of US-131 will be expected to be closed for around four weeks. Weather conditions may affect this timeline, causing things to close for longer than expected.

In addition, US-131 southbound will also have a double lane closure from Ann Street to Burton Street until the southbound lanes are reopened again.

So, if you are already annoyed by the northbound closure, you will have to figure out your southbound commute.
