In a story, according to our friends at WZZM, the Grand Rapids Children's Museum is celebrating 19 years of inspiring the minds of area children with a free event this Sunday July 31st.

"The museum is planning a big birthday bash in honor of the occasion."  Adrienne Brown-Reasner, the marketing and events manager, says people can expect free family fun.

"We love being a part of downtown and we couldn't think of a better way to celebrate 19 years of success than with a fun, free, family event," Brown-Reasner told WZZM 13. "The street party allows us to get a chance to give back to the community that has given us the opportunity to thrive."

The GRCM Birthday Street Party will take over Sheldon Avenue on Sunday, July 31 from noon to 4 p.m.

The party will include games, art projects, an obstacle course and some of the museum fun Grand Rapids has helped support over the years."
