Okay, maybe that's being slightly dismissive. It's quite possible that Jerry Seinfeld does have great things to say about the people of Grand Rapids. He's been here a few times.

But, that article that you've seen floating around Facebook with the title "Jerry Seinfeld Said This About the Residents of Grand Rapids, Michigan" is false. It's what the kids call "fake news"

The article is posted on KPRK6.com, which sounds like it could be a legitimate news or radio station. Heck, they even call themselves "your local news source". But in reality, they aren't anyone's local news source. In the website's very own disclaimer section, they let us know that none of what they write is fact:

KPRK6.com is a satirical and fantasy website. None of the articles on KPRK6.com should be considered true and are simply works of satire or fantasy meant for entertainment purposes. The satirical and fantasy articles on KPRK6.com focus on our celebrity-obsessed culture and bring an emphasis of positivity in a world full of negativity.

So, the next time you see one of your friends, or your aunt you only see on holidays, or your former co-worker post a link to that article, comment with a link to this one. It'll make you look smart.
