Two months after Hurricane Harvey ran its course through Southern Texas, the Houston Astros bested the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-1 to capture the 2017 World Series on Wednesday (Nov. 1). Understandably, people are more than a little excited—especially rappers from the Houston area.

In the minutes and hours following the Astros' massive W, Houston rap luminaries like Trae Tha Truth, Paul Wall, Chamillionaire and Scarface gave props to the triumphant ball club, recognizing the championship's significance to the recently beleaguered city of Houston.

Chamillionaire let his feelings be known almost immediately after the last game of the World Series. "We are the champions!!!!!! We are the champions, of the world!!!!!!!!! #HoustonAstros," he wrote, echoing the sentiments of folks across Texas. For his part, Paul Wall celebrated by showcasing his World Series Grillz on Instagram.

The person with the most emotional reaction of all, though, was Trae Tha Truth. In the midst of the storm and after it, the rapper literally took a boat out to the flooded streets of Houston in order to help those in need. He saw the tragedy firsthand, so it's easy to see why he'd be so touched by the Astros' win.

"I’m Still Sittin Here Realizing How Blessed We Are... Light Always Come In The End...Even Tho It’s Still So Much Lost In The City We #EarnedHistory #WorldSeriesChamps," wrote Trae.
