Summer is coming soon (even though it's snowing this week...) and how cool would it be to have your own resort in the U.P.?

Uh, "Dirty Dancing", anyone?

According to MLive, the property for sale is the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge in Copper Harbor.

It was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1976 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.

The resort has been owned by Keweenaw County since 1934, but last year they decided to sell, with a list price of $1.5 million. (LoopNet.com)

After two buyers backed out, the resort is now up for auction July 26.

The listing boasts 178 acres, which includes a golf course, a lodge with a bar and restaurant, 24 cabins and 6 motel rooms, tennis courts, a disc golf course, and a conference center:

The dominant feature of the grounds is the nine-hole golf course with mature pines and hardwood trees lining the fairways.
Other features of the property include a disc golf course, tennis court, and trails. These trails may be used for hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, or snowshoeing.

The Main Lodge building has three large public spaces; a bar in the center and dining rooms to either side. These rooms are two stories in height, with exposed log trusses, upper and lower level windows or doors that let in natural light, and massive stone fireplaces in both dining rooms."
