Joe Budden says a lot of the movies he's recently seen stink, and he's doing something about it. Instead of just complaining, the Slaughterhouse rapper says he's writing his own script, which is something he's wanted to do for quite some time.

"When I go to the movie theater ... all the movies is trash," he told TMZ. "The suspense is trash. Everything I'm seeing is trash, so I can't critique the movies and not put my best foot forward to do something about it ... Ghost in the Shell, trash."

The New Jersey native also said his film will be a psychological thriller, and the content will be similar to the stuff he covers in his music.

"I'm excited about it," he said. "I'm in the very early stages of the writing. To those who are familiar with my music, it's right up the lane with things I normally do. I've been writing and just getting together with a team of people for I want to say close to a year. It's something that's been on my bucket list for a while to do."
