As we previously reported last week, LeBron James' first ever signature sneaker with Nike will get the Retro treatment this month as it is set for a January 2017 release. Returning in its original form, we now know the highly anticipated basketball sneakers will be extremely limited upon its release, with rumors indicating that only 400-500 pairs will be created.

The Nike Air Zoom Generation was very first sneaker LeBron sported during his Rookie season in the NBA and is returning for the very first time since 2003. Inspired by the Hummer H2 LeBron received while in high school, the silhouette made by the Swoosh was meant to represent James’ physical presence at a young age in the NBA. Dressed in a white and red upper, the shoe features hits of navy blue on the Swoosh logo, LeBron emblem and midsole. Molded mesh in the heel and mid-foot provides ventilation as well as lightweight resistance. This release has been regarded as some of the best sneakers to ever come out of the Nike x LeBron partnership.

The re-release of the Nike Air Zoom Generation is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 25, with only a selected amount of retailers carrying the shoes. Look for UNDFTD, Kith, Xhibition, Next and Foot Locker's House of Hoops on 34th Street, to carry the anticipated sneakers.
