Lil Wayne’s Daughter Says Her Dad Is Doing Fine After Experiencing Seizures

The complications of a continual battle with epilepsy once again reached Lil Wayne's doorstep this past weekend (Sept. 3) when the rapper was found unconscious after suffering multiple seizures in Chicago.

In the time that followed, fans and rappers alike sent the young rap legend their well-wishes, with some fearing the worst. Thankfully, some good news comes in the form of word from Weezy's daughter, Reginae Carter, who tweeted about her father's condition on Sunday (Sept. 4). According to her, the Young Money general is A-okay.

"My dad is doing fine everyone ! Thanks for the concerns😘😘 you guys are amazing 😇," tweeted the 18-year-old Reginae. "Oh yeah .. & don't believe everything you hear 🙂," she added, possibly shooting down rumors of her father being in a more precarious position. Wayne himself hasn't commented on the matter, but Reginae is obviously as good a source as any.

Young Money president Mack Maine also tweeted out an update, saying Wayne was good and the team was thankful for everyone's support.

Weezy's team reportedly tried to have him discharged from the hospital the same night he had his seizures so he could make it to his show in Las Vegas, but doctors advised the rapper's handlers against it, noting that it could trigger more seizures. He was supposed to perform alongside Rae Sremmurd at Drais Beachclub, but he eventually canceled his show.

Fans of Weezy will remember the rapper has a lengthy history of seizures. Last summer, Weezy suffered three of them in under a month. Here's to hoping he continues recovering in peace.
