According to TMZ, Lil Wayne could face misdemeanor charges for punching a bouncer at a nightclub after the BET Awards on Sunday night (June 26). The doorman has filed a battery report with LAPD.

Wayne and 2 Chainz were hosting a BET Awards after-party at Hyde nightclub on Sunset Boulevard. Allegedly, Weezy punched the bouncer in the face after the latter refused entry for several members of Wayne's entourage. TMZ reports the Hyde staffer went to the hospital to treat his injury before calling police.

However, according to TMZ, sources in Wayne's camp say he denies laying hands on the bouncer. The New Orleans rapper says the man actually worked in his VIP section the entire night. Wayne's camp says there was a brief interaction, during which the bouncer mistakenly grabbed Wayne on the arm, not realizing it was Tunechi.

The Carter rapper recently suffered multiple seizures as a result of a lack epilepsy medication on a cross-country flight. It appears Wayne is in fairly good shape now, because he's been performing and making appearances. Prayers up for his continued health.

In music-related news, Lil Wayne recently linked up with Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign and Logic for "Sucker for Pain," a new track from the upcoming Suicide Squad soundtrack. If you want to see Weezy F. Baby in concert soon, you can check him out at this year's Made in America festival in early September in Philly. He'll be headlining the annual event alongside acts such as 2 Chainz and Chance The Rapper.
