Listen to Shawty Lo’s New Single ‘B.I.G.’ Off His Posthumous Album ‘R.I.C.O.’

A few weeks ago, we shared the Shawty Lo song "My Love," featuring Lyfe Jennings, and now the rapper's team dropped "B.I.G.," with Boosie Badazz and Alexis Branch. Both singles are off Lo's posthumous album R.I.C.O., which comes out on March 24.

On "B.I.G.," the late Atlanta rhymer opens up about his past struggles and growing up without his mom, followed by a touching hook by Branch.

"My momma died from cancer when I was 17 / The hell happened to the American dream? / Bankhead hero, about the dinero / I always wanted to be bigger than Nino," spit Lo.

Boosie rhymes afterwards and like Shawty, he mixes braggadocio with introspection, which he's pretty much built a career on.

"All my albums are classic but underrated, though / People asking why you keep having them babies when you ain't even really made it, though / The college girl, the crazy h- / The time's when the money's low / The pain Bankhead feel the day they lost Shawty Lo," he spit.
