Lloyd has just revealed the cover art for his new EP, Tru, which will be available for pre-order this week on iTunes.

Back in August, the Atlanta-bred singer Lloyd released his first new video in five years, "Tru," an extremely personal song that finds him explaining why he removed himself from the music scene, giving a candid account on events that led up to his absence and also his return. And earlier this month, a remix to Tru was released featuring 2 Chainz.

"Hey world, yeah I know it's been a while/Thought I'd come around to let you know what's up now/No album lately so my mind is kinda up, down/I still been taking care of mama in the somehow," he sings on the first verse.

The cover art for the project reveals a different side of Lloyd, something the singer shared via Instagram.

"This photo means a lot to me. It's not about exploiting myself, as many would like to believe," the singer wrote. "Yet, it is about accepting myself for how I am. Letting go of all the fears, inhibitions, and insecurities that exist inside of me sometimes. Embracing the fact that my "flaws" are only projected onto me by others, but never existent inside of my own mind, because there are no perfect people out here in this world. And it's about eliminating the gimmicks, the magic tricks, the stage antics."

He goes on to say that he's not putting on any pretenses, and that his EP cover represents that ideology.

"No photoshop when I'm photographed," he wrote. "No pretending I'm something I'm not. I can accept what I have instead of longing for what I wish I did, and I know that even though that may not be good enough for everybody, somebody will love me more for it."

Tru is set to release December 9. Peep the tracklist below.
