Lupita Nyong’o is phenomenal actress, but who knew that she could spits bars? The Oscar-winning actress recently showed off her lyrical skills in a very entertaining Instagram video.

In the black-and-white clip, Nyong’o, under her rap alias Troublemaker, spits several lines over the instrumental of Nas’ “N.Y. State of Mind” from his classic debut album Illmatic. In her verse, she name drops Disney and her Queen of Katwe co-star David Oyelowo all while looking fresh to def in Afro-ed hairstyle and all-white, off-the-shoulder dress.

Among her noteworthy bars include, "Mexican born, Kenya running through my veins / Dark chocolate, plus I keep a sharp mane/ Lancôme fresh-faced, looking tailor-made / Disney on the books, so you know I stay paid."

Nyong'o then adds, "Next stop Katwe, rocking out with David / Don’t do critics, if you’re hating, please save it / Ambassadors of elephants, trying to save the planet / I'm working on my master plan, stunting in my hammock."

Apparently, the 33-year-old actress shot the video in celebration of her Instagram account reaching 3 million followers. However, we must mentioned that she did have help with a ghostwriter - her good friend and actress Robyn Hood.

Nevertheless, Nyong'o's performance gets a worthy thumbs up from us. Maybe a collaboration with Nas is in her future. Who knows?
