Maia Campbell Says She Doesn’t Need LL Cool J’s Help
Over the weekend, a viral video of former actress Maia Campbell spread across social media and the Internet, which showed her on the streets of Stone Mountain, Ga., appearing to be strung out. After her former In The House co-star, LL Cool J, asked his followers for a contact for her so he could reach out, Campbell has officially responded with claims that she doesn't need his help.
The new video in response to LL shows Campbell inside of a beauty salon (where she says she temporarily works at) and in the clip she directly tells the Phenomenon hitmaker she doesn't need his help.
“Hey Todd, look bro, I love you," she explains. "I don’t need help, I just need a benefit concert for mental health. Don’t DM me, it’s really me and this is Darryl."
She then explains what she's been up to lately, flaunting the inside of the shop she works at, claiming she's been investing in property and name-dropping her new show.
“This is the shop that I temp at, or whatever. We’re good. I’m good," she states. "I’m doing property, I have investments. I’m a real serious person. And my show is called From the Bottom Up [inaudible].”
The cameraman continues to ask Campbell how LL can get in touch with her, to which she expresses some vivid frustration. At one point she turns away, and even states that she doesn't want to show her face to the camera. The former actress also encourages LL to not contact her, which includes anything through Instagram.
