Master P Will Host Charity Concert to Help Louisiana Flood Victims
Master P will host a benefit concert to help Louisiana flood victims. The 49-year-old rapper/actor/entrepreneur is hosting the fundraiser during All-Star Weekend in Feb. 2017.
The iHeart Benefit Fest will occur on Saturday, Feb. 18, before the All-Star Saturday night festivities. An estimated 110,000 homes valued at $20.7 billion were damaged due to the rampant flooding a couple months back. On his official website, Master P states, “Together we will entertain and give fans a great show but the real mission is to help get families back into their homes. In Baton Rouge, there is still a lot of pollution in the air, water damages and mildew.”
Master P continues, “I want all the athletes to come out, we are going to have all the top celebrities there from Usher to Lil Wayne. When people look at the floods and a lot of victims, they are not back in their homes yet in Baton Rouge, and I feel like for All Star Weekend, even though this will be a fun event, It will be a way for everyone to do their part, so this concert will be great for our people and Baton Rouge.”
Major props to the New Orleans legend for giving back to his area. The people of Baton Rouge, La. suffered tremendous loss and pain during the horrific floods. In other Master P-related news, the No Limit artist is putting out his own video game called Get Money. The press release states, “If you make the right choices, you get the money. But if you make the wrong choices it’s death, jail or destruction, just like in the real world.”
