This year is giving us a lot of shocking headlines that make our blood boil, but fortunately, there are some good ones mixed in there. This week, Missy Elliott made sure to give us all something to smile about, as the veteran hit-maker dropped a brand new song titled "I'm Better," with a music video to accompany it. Missy takes on a new sound and style for the song, catering to a bit of what today's rap fans tend to be attracted to.

While she experiments with some new sounds for the track itself, the music video quickly reminds fans that the Missy we know and love hasn't gone anywhere. Filled with dancers, trippy visuals, and colorful ensembles, the Virginia native teams up with Lamb for the song to provide us with some new heat. It's been awhile since Missy has released new music, and it looks like she's starting off 2017 with a bang.

The chart-topper is said to be working on her comeback album, and has recruited Pharrell and Timbaland to help her find the perfect style for her return. Her single, "WTF (Where They From)," from 2015, did well on the charts, and has been used in plenty of soundtracks, commercials, and more.

Hopefully we can get our hands on a Missy album soon, but for now watch the video for "I'm Better" above.
