If you tend to have a lead foot like I do, then take this as a warning! Michigan State Police will be adding to their traffic enforcement this week.

Now through Saturday is Operation Safe Driver Week.  Operation Safe Driver is an effort to reduce auto crashes and deaths on the road.

This year, Michigan has had around a 20% decline in deadly crashes that involve commercial vehicles.   Michigan is part of a national campaign called Toward Zero Deaths.

Police will be upping traffic enforcement to remind drivers that crashes happen by both trucks and other large vehicles, when passenger cars begin driving unsafe around them.
