Naturi Naughton Announces Pregnancy: ‘Everything Seems So Much More Purposeful’

A big congrats goes out to Naturi Naughton, who just announced that she's having a baby. The actress shared the news during a new interview with People and said that she and her boyfriend Ben were really surprised.

"It's been a little surreal, but I feel really good, healthy and strong," said the Power star. "It's such a blessing."

In regards to her hit Starz show, the 32-year-old said her cast mates have been doing a stellar job of keeping her pregnancy a secret.

"They've been really good at keeping it on the low, but they're also super excited," she revealed. "Omari [Hardwick], who plays my husband, we have kids on the show and he's like 'Now you get to be experiencing motherhood in real life.' Everyone's been really supportive."

Naughton also explained how she'll wear certain types of clothing on Power to hide her baby bump, and so far it's working extremely well. "I was amazed at how un-pregnant I could look," she said.

Plus, the former R&B star said she's been craving a lot of healthier foods since becoming pregnant like kale, strawberries and pineapples but she's still eating a few unhealthy things like Cup of Noodles.

As far as the new parental journey she and Ben will be embarking on, Naughton said she's ready for it and feels like a complete person now.

"I feel like being pregnant and entering this new stage has made me stronger and more excited about life in general," she explained. "Everything seems so much more purposeful."

The actress is due in July.
