According to a news release by Consumers Energy, power will be shut off around 2 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, for about 4,560 customers in SE Kent County, including Cascade and southwest Lowell township. Power back on around 4 a.m. Make sure you go old school and put some batteries in the alarm clock. YES, I said batteries!

WZZM-13 reports that the power will be out from Hall Street to the north, I-96 to the south, Morse Lake to the east and Kraft Avenue to the west.
