Prince is inspiring his frequent collaborator, Sheila E, from the beyond. According to Billboard, Sheila E revealed that she's planning to release a album inspired by former fiancé, simply titled Girl Meets Boy.

Before Prince's untimely death on April 21, Sheila E planned to release a dance album as the follow-up to her 2013 project, Sheila E ICON. But that soon changed after Prince's passing.

“Then that whole thing happened,” she said in reference to Prince's death to Billboard. “It just wasn’t the music I wanted out right now."

“It’s not how I’m feeling; everything has changed. So a couple of weeks ago, I decided to write a whole new album. And it feels right.”

Sheila E will also be joining the all-star cast of musicians (The Roots, D’Angelo and Janelle Monae) for the BET Awards' tribute to The Purple One.

“I wasn’t sure I could do it even though I said yes,” she said of the show. “In the first conversations about it, I couldn’t even say his name. And when I started putting the music together, it was hard for me to listen to anything. It’s actually been a part of my healing now, trying to figure out what I was going to play and what would be okay to make sure I would get through it. But it’s going to be fun.”

We're definitely looking forward to both. What do you think of the news. Are you excited? Let us know in the comments below.
