It's been over 20 years since Tupac Shakur was tragically shot and killed after he left the Bruce Seldon vs. Mike Tyson fight that fateful evening on Sept. 7, 1996. The late rapper ended up dying from his injuries six days later, and loved ones, as well as fans, are still searching for concrete answers as to who murdered him. It looks like Suge Knight, who was the driver of the vehicle carrying Tupac that night, may have an idea, as he recently spoke out about the night.

According to the Daily Mail, Knight's attorney Thaddeus Culpepper wrote in a signed affidavit that the former Death Row CEO has known "for many years that Reggie Wright Jr. and his ex-wife Sharitha were behind the murder of Tupac and attempted murder of Knight.” While Knight has always stayed mum about the details of Shakur's murder, he's deciding to speak out about it now because he believes a new documentary Tupac Assassination: Battle For Compton is spreading “salient points” about the case. Knight reportedly believes that he was the intended target of the shooting that killed `Pac. Former LAPD detective Russell Poole, who worked on the murder case and died in 2015, agreed with Suge.

The detective believed that Sharitha wanted Knight to be killed so that she could get everything in their divorce settlement, as it had not been finalized yet. "Suge wasn't divorced yet and if he died in that hit, she'd [Sharitha Knight] get most of everything," said Poole. "So she went to Wright Jr., who was in charge of Death Row, and ran it while Suge was in prison." Wright has denied the claims that were made against her back in 2015.

It seems there is a lot more investigation to be done in this case, as it remains as unsolved as the murder of Notorious B.I.G., which occurred months later on March 9, 1997.
