T.I. is being sued for a king's ransom after reportedly skipping out on a scheduled performance at a high school graduation party in Florida.

Tip's no show could cost him $390,000 reports TMZ. According to the site, the Kang was commissioned by Planet Productions to headline the teen shindig. They claim, after spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to set up and promote the June 11 concert, T.I. pulled out. They are suing for the $300,000 they spent on promoting the show and also the $90,000 fee for booking the Atlanta rapper.

As we've noted in the past, Tip is generally great to fans and people in general, so there has to be a good explanation for this.

Recently, T.I. has been focusing his vocal efforts on more socially conscious endeavors. After being very vocal leading up to the election, he recently spoke with reporters about dealing with the fact that Donald Trump will be our president for the next four years. “I just think all of the people who are up in arms about it — myself included — you know, we just didn’t do enough,” he said. “Now it’s about focusing on, for one, how we have to keep ourselves out of harm’s way and kind of how we unite over the next two years. Because in the next two years there’s going to be some more voting that needs to be done, it’s some more people that need to be elected.”

T.I. put out his most recent project Us or Else EP in Septemnber.
