Taylor Bennett finally drops the short film based on his 2015 album, Broad Shoulders. The 13-minute film uses tracks from the Chicago rapper's LP as the soundtrack to a love story. The video kicks off with a spoken intro by Bennett in which he sets the stage for what's to come.

“There’s kind of like a chill sent down your spine because it’s deep, and it’s so close to you that it feels like whoever’s saying it might know you,” Bennett says. “It’s a song that creates an emotion. It creates a memory for people. And it’s like, this is my song. Sometimes you find out that the standards people have, the things that they will and won’t do, aren’t the reason why you like them. It’s because we care about that person, and everybody makes bad decisions.”

The release of the short film comes after Bennett made headlines by coming out as bisexual. Bennett said he came out publicly to help others struggling to come to terms with their sexuality.

"I’d like to be more open about myself to help others that struggle with the same issues,” Bennett wrote on Twitter. “Growing up I’ve always felt indifferent about my sexuality & being attracted 2 one sex & today I would like to openly come out to my fans. I do recognize myself as a bisexual male & do & have always openly supported the gay community & will keep doing so in 2017."

Bennett received a lot of support in the wake of his announcement, including the backing of his brother Chance The Rapper. Chance said he loves Bennett and calls his younger sibling a great man.
