It should come as no surprise that The-Dream, in some form or fashion, has been the man behind many of pop and R&B's biggest hits of the past ten years. He has writing creds on such songs as Rihanna's "Umbrella" and Beyonce's "Single Ladies," and has even recorded demo versions of some of these hits, as the world found out at Kanye West's Yeezy Season 5 fashion show on Wednesday (Feb. 15).

As seen in the below Instagram video, a version of J. Holiday's "Bed" plays as models walk the runway, but it's Dream singing, he and producer Los Da Mystro penning the 2007 hit. A leaked version of Dream singing the tune has been online for a few years, but Kanye was playing a different, more customized recording. In playing it during his runway show, Kanye as well gives the original version newfound shine

Two years ago, Dream told Genius that he wrote and recorded "Bed" during a crazy recording session that produced many of the songs on his debut album Love Hate. "I didn’t want the songs to stop. I wanted one song to go into another song and into another song and another. And this all started because 'Bed' wasn’t just a song — it was a language, and I figured it out. In the same way that there wasn’t a song like 'Shawty’s a Ten,' there wasn’t a male version of these 'Umbrella' records, these synth-driven ones — in our culture, I mean. I just fused the two, and that’s where the Love Hate album came from."

Kanye has used the runway to premiere new music in the past, playing a version of "Fade" in 2015, and essentially premiering all of The Life of Pablo at a runway show turned album listening party last year.
