Tory Lanez was performing during the pre-show for the BET Awards tonight (June 26) when Twitter caught wind of it and didn't like what they saw. The reaction was pretty intense, as people even went so far as to make jokes about the Canadian singer's hair. You can peep some of the tweets above.

Lanez is hot off his latest single "Luv," which he also dropped a video for recently. People wondered if he took to the Afropop sound after Drake did, something Tyga's also been accused of recently.

During a recent interview with Hot 97, Tory was asked about his tension with the Six God. He brushed it off, but maintains that he's out here to compete and calls hip-hop a "contact sport." He wants that No. 1 spot. You can watch that interview here.

He's been baiting Drake to some time now, most recently on "For Real" when he said, “Let’s talk about this new Toronto n—a/I can say I’m new Toronto n—a/Talent for talent you small fry/No, I don’t do McDonalds n—a."

Drake seemed to address the situation later in an interview with Zane Lowe. “I encourage anybody to go out there and do the most damage that you possibly can. Do you things, get all the fruits, get everything,” Drake said. “Become the biggest artist you can possibly be. Just don’t get up there finally and start talking down on me. Especially when we have no interaction. Don’t get your first big shot to speak out and you think the right thing to do is to start trying to come for the don. It’s not gonna work and I don’t go for that.”

Tory's major label debut album is said to be coming later this year.
