Tracee Ellis Ross won the Golden Globe for Best Performance in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy at the 2017 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night (January 8).

This was Ross's first Golden Globe win. The other nominees included Rachel Bloom for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Julia Louis-Dreyfus for Veep, Sarah Jessica Parker for Divorce, Issa Rae for Insecure and Gina Rodriguez for Jane the Virgin.

"This is for all of the women, women of color and colorful people whose stories, ideas, thoughts are not always considered worthy and valid and important, but I want you to know that I see you, we see you," she said during her powerful acceptance speech, met with cheers from the audience.

"It's nice at 44! I like it here...this is great!" she happily concluded. Watch below.

Hosted by Jimmy Fallon, the 74th annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony took place at the Beverly Hilton hotel on Sunday, January 8, broadcast live on NBC. The 2017 Golden Globes nominees were announced on December 12, with actress Meryl Streep selected as the honoree of the year’s Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award.
