Grand Valley State University police and the Ottawa County Sheriff are investigating two reports of sexual assault near GVSU's campus this weekend.

The first victim reported being assaulted while she walked near the Burger King near 48th Ave. and Lake Michigan Dr. The victim says that the suspect approached her as she was walking and assaulted her on the side of the road.

The suspect is described as a man with tan skin, 6-foot 2-inches tall with dark hair. He was last seen wearing basketball shorts and a backward baseball cap.

The second victim reported being in the parking lot of Campus View Apartments around 1:50 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, taking items out of the back seat of a vehicle. The victim reported being approached from behind by a male suspect, who then committed the sexual assault.

No identifying factors about that suspect have been released at this time.
