TMZ caught up with Wale yesterday night (Feb. 8), and asked what the Trump administration can do to bring people together, particular following the bitter fight against the confirmations of both Jeff Sessions and Betsy DeVos as attorney general and secretary of education respectively.

"I don't really think they're interested in harmony," Wale said of the Trump administration.

But he does think there's a silver lining to all of the chaos that Trump has caused—unity among the people.

"I think we need each other," the rapper says. "If there's any silver lining in this s--- it's that people in all walks of life are coming together, and that s--- makes me feel proud for humanity. We have a wild person in charge right now but what I see happening is less hate amongst different creeds and walks of life."

He continued by saying folks are coming together for a greater cause, which is cool to see.

"The Muslims, The Jews, the gays, trans gender [people], all people are like, 'you know what there's a greater purpose; there's a bigger enemy,'" he said. "I think that's the silver lining in this whole thing, and I don't think people are going to really realize that for another year.  But I see people coming together that don't even f--- with each other, and that s---makes me feel good about humanity, personally."
