Want To Work Less? Then Grand Rapids Is The Place For You!
If you're like most of us, you'd rather spend less time working and more time enjoying life, right?! Well Grand Rapids is the place to be!
WalletHub did a study and found that the average Grand Rapids employee spends less time working than other folks in 145 American cities! We tied with Madison, Wisconsin for fourth place for fewest weekly work hours, according to WOOD. Tallahassee, Florida, where I attended college (FAMU), averaged the fewest weekly work hours! With Providence, Rhode Island coming in second and Springfield, Missouri landing in the third spot! WalletHub based its rankings on 27 metrics in five areas: work, money, family, health/safety and how residents cope with stress. Too bad for our neighbors on the other side of the state, Detroit ranked as the most stressed city!
Detroit took the top spots for lowest credit score and highest poverty rate and had the third highest divorce rate and the fifth highest per capita crime rate. I'm glad to be in GR!
