The city of Holland is bringing back the Holland Fall Fest.

The festival will be happening on Friday, October 7th, and Saturday, October 8th in downtown Holland, Michigan.

One of the coveted events happening during the festival is the Community Tulip planting on Friday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and again from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.

We all know about Holland's beautiful tulips that bloom during this springtime. During this festival, the tulips need to be planted in this colder season so they can thrive next year.

The city plans to plant 75,000 tulip bulbs in time for the Tulip Time Festival in 2023.

If you volunteer, you should bring your own gardening gloves. However, you will be given instructions and tools to complete the planting.

Plus, a cup of Joe will be provided so you can get through the volunteer work from Biggby Coffee of Holland.

Besides the tulip planting, the Fall Fest Artisan at Windmill Garden Islands will be open from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. The artisan market has jewelry, home decor, clothing and so much more.

If you are a lover of jack o' lanterns, there will also be professional pumpkin carvers on 8th street from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

On Saturday, the pumpkin carvers will also be making 3D pumpkin sculptures!! That is insane.

If the kiddies want to paint their own pumpkins, you can bring home a pumpkin and painting supplies for only $1.

This is the best excuse to get outside and frolic in the fall air.
