Indian Restaurant Takes Downtown Space Where Russo’s Was Located

A new Indian Resturant is taking the space that Russo's Downtown Market and before that, Bagger Dave's, occupied on the corner of Fulton and Market.

Fox 17 says that Pind Indian Cuisine signed a five-year lease for the space and will serve authentic Indian food made from scratch. Pind will serve dishes in a fine dining setting but will also have outdoor seating as well as a buffet and will be open for lunch and dinner daily.

Which a 5-year lease is quite an ambitious plan and shows the new restaurant owner's plans to make the location in Grand Rapids happen since Russo's lasted about a year (of course they've now said arrivederci and are closing up completely) and before that Bagger Dave's had a short run as well.

I'm excited to stop by and enjoy some tandoori chicken!

The new owner has two other locations in Virginia and plans to have the Grand Rapids location open in the next couple weeks, according to Fox 17.
