Who is Skye Townsend?

You might recognize Skye from the groundbreaking characters she developed on the three-time Emmy Award-winning HBO comedy series, A Black Lady Sketch Show.

Skye recently starred in the female-led stoner comedy film Pretty Stoned and appeared in iCARLY on Paramount+ and Netflix’s Lucifer.

She is also the daughter of the legendary comedian and actor, Robert Townsend

Who is B.J. Britt?

B.J. Britt is known for his roles on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD on ABC and BET’s Being Mary Jane.

B.J. is no stranger to holiday romantic comedies because he has also appeared in The Christmas Dilemma and Rediscovering Christmas.

"A Christmas Serenade"

This upcoming Christmas is just the start of a 4-holiday run for the network.

"“OWN for the Holidays” is a slate of four charming new holiday movies that premiere on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network in December. The first film, A Christmas Serenade starring Skye Townsend and B.J. Britt, premieres Saturday, December 2, at 9pm/8pm CT. When Jeremiah (Britt) returns home for the first time in years to play a gig with his band, he is recruited to take over as the minister of music for the annual Christmas Jubilee at his home church – which reignites a feud, and romance, with the pastor’s daughter Willow (Townsend)."
