Michigan Air National Guard To Do Flyover Grand Rapids Tuesday

The National Guard's 127th Wing is planning an 8 city flyover in Michigan on Tuesday to honor health care and front line workers. The 127th is based out of Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Harrison Township, just northeast of Detroit.
Members of the National Guard will conduct the flyovers in two different aircraft, depending on the location. Some locations will see multiple A-10 'Warthogs', some will see, some will see a KC-135 'Stratotanker', and a lucky few in the Detroit area will see both.
The 127th Wing posted a tentative Schedule on their Facebook Page:
Tuesday, May 12 KC-135 Flyover:
- Marquette
- Lansing
- Flint
Tuesday, May 12 A-10 Flyover:
- Traverse City
- Grand Rapids
- Battle Creek
Wednesday, May 13 KC-135 & A-10 Flyover:
- Novi
- Detroit
The National Guard flyover comes after the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds had to reschedule due to poor weather a couple of weeks ago. The revised flyover will be the Blue Angels flying over Detroit, Chicago, and Indianapolis on Tuesday.
