Memes are probably the best thing... if not the best... to come out of the internet. I like to laugh at memes, share them with others, or post them but when it comes to making them... not so much. But if you're someone who loves to create memes on your free time and they're actually funny and relatable, this could be your opportunity to make some cash off of it.

Bud Light revealed on their Instagram page that they are hiring for a very rare position, a Chief Meme Officer.

No, seriously. They are looking for someone to make memes for them promoting their seltzer brand.

We at Bud Light have created the perfect hard seltzer. It’s five-times filtered, 100 calories, and comes in four delicious flavors. But we know a hard seltzer is only as good as its memes and, unfortunately, our memes are trash.

Hey, at least they admit it. That's where your expertise comes into play. Job responsibilities include:

  • Drinking Bud Light hard seltzer
  • Making at least 10 "fire" Bud Light seltzer memes per week
  • Posting said fire memes on social media

As compensation, Bud Light will pay you $5,000 a month and of course free seltzer.

Bud Light's VP of Marketing said in a statement,

We’re excited to hire the brand’s first-ever Chief Meme Officer to help us generate unique Bud Light Seltzer memes that will complement and drive even more awareness of our great tasting seltzers.

You have until September 18 to apply and must be 21+. Even if you don't get the job, everyone who applies will automatically be entered to win a 3-month supply of Bud Light hard seltzer.

I know Bud Light says their memes are "trash" but I actually find the ones they've been sharing pretty funny. Check 'em out on their Instagram page.

Recently, the beer company did a poll on each state's favorite hard seltzer flavor (Strawberry, Lime, Mango, and Black Cherry) and sure enough Mango seems to be the preferred flavor. Mmmm, I totally agree.
