Hi. I'm Casey. I'm the new morning co-host on 98.7 WFGR. I was asked to write something about myself so...um, well, ok...here goes... Until I was 16, I lived in Centerville, OH. They cheer for The Ohio State University. Hi Brutus! O-H...I went to high school with Kirk Herbstreit from ESPN. They misspelled his name in the yearbook. Centerville Elk Pride! When my dad was transferred because of his job, I moved to Farmington Hills, MI. They root for the University of Michigan. Go Blue! I've seen a football game in the Big House...except the football game I witnessed was an English Premiere League Soccer Game. Still amazing! Michigan fans are so passionate even for soccer, the other football. After graduating from Ferris State University (Go Bulldogs!) & The Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts, the radio world sent me to Lansing. They cheer for Michigan State University. Hello Sparty! When I lived there, Nick Saban was the head coach. Roll Tide? From Lansing, my radio career took me to South Bend, IN. They really like the University of Notre Dame. Let's just say I had a lot of access at ND. I've had the opportunity to meet every living Notre Dame Head Football coach. Go Irish! It was in South Bend that I raised my daughter. She is in college now and with all these wonderful influences which school do you imagine she attends? Purdue University! Boiler Up! For a brief insane moment, I worked in Tallahassee, FL. However, The Florida State University Seminoles didn't know what to make of this northern Big 10 fan. "God bless their hearts." I'm thrilled to be back in the Midwest and living in West Michigan where I know I'll always have a winning team to cheer for! Let's be honest...What goes better with College Football then a beer? What better place to enjoy a cold one then in Beer City? I look forward to serving the WFGR listeners and Grand Rapids! Thanks for listening.
