The name of the film will be called Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop: The Bad Boy Story and it was produced by Live Nation Production and directed by Daniel Kaufman.
“I am blessed to be introducing our film at the Tribeca Film Festival,” Didd said via his Instagram post. “Tribeca brings the biggest names in entertainment and culture together with visionaries from across industries to celebrate the power of storytelling. There is no better place to share the story behind the Bad Boy movement and this unprecedented musical event."
According to Diddy.com, the film is set to take it’s viewers on a historic rollercoaster through Bad Boy’s complexity from music, fashion and pop culture. Some of the most memorable names in music have been apart of the label such as 112, Carl Thomas, Mario Winans, Lil Kim, Faith Evans, Mase, The Lox and of course the late Notorious B.I.G. Among providing more in-depth details about Bay Boy’s former signees, the film will also shed light on the tragic killing of one of musics most beloved MCs Biggie Smalls.
To add a great touch to the film, the premier will also show what Diddy went through to grab any artist that was once a part of the label to get on the Bad Boy Reunion Tour which celebrated the label’s 20th anniversary. There were two performances that happened at the Barclays Center on May 20 and 21 which the film will show and both paid tribute to the deceased Christopher Wallace as Diddy and the team performed classic hits in front of the sold out crowd in Brooklyn.
Today marks the 20th anniversary of Big's passing, so we spoke to artists about the BK rapper's legacy. Cam told us a hilarious story about auditioning for Biggie while the late, great MC was laid up wit two ladies, and Jay Electronica remembered exactly where he was when he heard the horrible news. Mannie Fresh compared Big to one of the greatest movie directors of all time, while Raekwon compared him to Marvin Gaye.
