Michigan's own Mike Posner is arguably one of the biggest forces in music within the past decade. Not only does he have an extensive catalog of his own, and 11.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone. He also has credits on several songs you've heard daily on the radio for years including "Sugar" from Maroon 5, "Numb" from Nick Jonas, and Justin Beiber's "Boyfriend"

Speaking of "Boyfriend", you may not know, but it was co-written by he and Blackbear, and it was one of the first times they met in person. After working together on the hit single, they letter went on to do an album together under the project tile "Mansionz" . This song writing collaboration is arguably one of the main reasons he found his way to the stage of the Fillmore on Tuesday night.

Blackbear started his set off with a rapid fire set of singles from his 2020 album 'Everything Means Nothing', including radio hit "me + ur ghost". And after a journey through several fan favorites, around 6 songs into the set, Mike Posner ran out on stage unannounced and helped Blackbear start into one of their Mansionz songs, "STFU".

After they finished, Posner stayed on stage and greeted a roaring crowd with "You may know me from songs such as..." and started into his biggest song, "I Took A Pill in Ibiza".

It was an incredible experience, and Blackbear was gracious enough to give this Michigan audience a once in a lifetime concert experience that only Detroit could offer.
