Body Found in West Michigan, Homicide Investigation Begins
A man's body was found in Ottawa County and authorities are suspicious and have launched a homicide investigation.
According to WOOD, a body was found in Ottawa County, Michigan, near Grand River Open Space park on Linden Drive, just outside of Grand Rapids.
Grand Rapids Police Department had been investigating a missing person and that is how they discovered the body.
The death is being looked at by authorities as suspicious.
Police found the body in the park but feel it was only there a few hours. Police also believe the man did not die in the park but was dumped there and murdered somewhere else.
An autopsy is being conducted and police are withholding his identity until family has been notified.
The investigation will continue as the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office and the Grand Rapids Police Department work together on the case.
