Car Crashes into South Haven Restaurant

The South Haven Police Department is investigating a serious crash in which a driver crashed into Maple Grove Bar & Grill late Sunday night.

Fox 17 reports the accident happened around 10:15p.m. when the man’s vehicle struck a traffic island at the roundabout intersection of M-43 and 12th Avenue.

The car flew into the air and then crashed into the restaurant and bar.

The driver was extracted from the vehicle and taken to a hospital in Kalamazoo with serious injuries.

While no patrons were inside Maple Grove Bar & Grill at the time of the crash, some employees and the owner were. None of them were injured.
