A volunteer firefighter with Cascade Township is not facing felony charges after being arrested for having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl.

WOOD-TV8 reports that 51-year-old Clem Harold Bell was arrested for persuading or coercing a child to engage in sexually abusive activity for the purpose of producing any child sexually abusive material. It is also alleged that Bell exchanged sexually explicit photographs with the girl, and then saved those photos to a device to be used in the future.

The victim informed police that she had known Bell since April 2016. She was a part of the firefighter explorer program with the fire department.

Bell will likely be arraigned later in the week on charges of child sexually abusive activity, using a computer to commit a crime, and possession of child sexually abusive material. All of those charges are felonies with penalties that could land Bell in prison for life.
