After being thrown out at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night (Feb. 8) after his altercation with security, New York Knicks legend Charles Oakley has reportedly been banned for life from attending any games at MSG.

"Charles Oakley will never be allowed to enter MSG again, even if he purchases a ticket," ESPN radio host Michael Kay told his audience on his radio show on Friday (Feb. 10).

“It’s not necessarily a lifetime ban, but I think the most important thing with that is you need to keep the Garden the place that’s comfortable and safe for everyone who goes there," shared Knicks team owner James Dolan during an in-studio interview.

This is a sad state of affairs for the Knicks organization. The franchise is not having a stellar year on the basketball court and now this distraction has put the team in a negative light.

Oakley's issues with team owner James Dolan have been well-publicized. The 53-year-old NBA veteran has asked repeatedly for a sit-down with Dolan to sort things out, to no avail. The fact that Dolan refuses to meet with Oakley is petty as hell, but now he's blocking him from entering MSG, which is not going to help cease the tension between them. And alienating one of the most beloved Knicks of all time is not a good look.

Reps for Charles Oakley had no comment on the matter.
