Could Dame Dash Recruit A Michigan Artist For New Midwest Record Label Division?
A music mogul seems to be looking for Midwest superstars.
Do you know of any that he should look into?
Dame Dash Midwest Record Label Division
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, April 2nd, Dame Dash reposted an article that announced that he would be launching a new ‘BluRoc Indy’ division of the label in Indiana.
He is already well underway by kicking things off with popular Indy rapper Kittii Red.
Dame and Kittii have already been working together for a bit now. They are already pushing her new single “Birthday Song."
In the interview introducing the word to Kitti Red with Dame Dash, Dame shared what the world is already stating about how the music industry is being dominated.
"It seems like women rappers are running the world right now."
The news of Dame's new label comes after a bunch of legal issues for the music mogul. A judge ordered Dame to sell his shares of Roc-A-Fella Records after he allegedly refused to pay an $823,000 judgment to movie producer Josh Weber.
In 2019, Dame was sued for copyright infringement and defamation over the movie Dear Frank.
Webber and Muddy Water Pictures finished the film without him stating that Dame was allegedly always high on set while shooting the film.
Three years later, they sued Dame Dash saying that he tried to shop Dear Frank around as his own.
Last month, Dame hinted that he would actually be willing to sell his Roc-A-Fella Records shares to Cam’ron and Ma$e after the two rappers jokingly put their names forward as potential buyers.
What Michigan artists should be added to the roster with this new Midwest branch of his record label?
