Detroit Lions Fan Fed Up With Season Ticket Skyrocket Prices

With this stellar season the Detroit Lions are having, it makes sense why people want to snag their season tickets early.

As of publication time, the Detroit Lions have a 10-4 record with the current No. 3 seed in the NFC playoff standings.

However, the Lions may have made many fans angry with this announcement.

According to the Detroit Free Press, the Lions sent out their season ticket renewals for the upcoming 2024 season on Monday.

Most of the seats have an insane price increase. A team spokesperson said that the tickets increased an average of 30%. However, some fans have shared that the price increases are as high as 85%.

85%! What the heck!

"Last year, the Lions increased tickets an average of 4% during their early renewal period, something team president Rod Wood said brought prices back to pre-pandemic levels in 2018."

Fans are rightly upset because, in the email to the season ticket holders, the Lions did not even explain the need for the price increase.

The email simply said,

"We have felt your energy within Ford Field this season and your impact has truly made a difference in creating a home field advantage for your Lions. We are excited to welcome you back next year for another exciting season in 2024!"

Who justified these price increases? While I am excited to see the Detroit Lions have a fantastic season, you will not catch me at a game next year.
