Diddy Didn’t Change His Name to Brother Love After All [VIDEO]
After announcing that he had changed his name again, this time to Brother Love, Diddy says it was all just a joke.
On Monday night (Nov. 6), the rap mogul went on his Instagram page to inform his fans that he you can still call him Diddy.
“I was only joking,” he said in the IG video above. “I didn’t change my name. It was just part of one of my alter egos. One of my alter egos is Love.”
“You can address me by any of my older names. But if you still wanna call me Love, you can call me Love, baby. But I was only playin’,” he added.
Comb’s initial announcement on his 48th birthday last Saturday (Nov. 4) had people on Twitter in a tizzy. "Diddy wild corny sometimes, ain’t nobody calling you Brother Love. I still call his ass puff daddy," tweeted one fan.
Wrestling fans were also quick to inform Diddy that the name Brother Love was already taken by former World Wrestling Entertainment star Bruce Prichard.
“Thank you everyone for helping @diddy see the light! Just so you know Puffy ... I love you,” Prichard tweeted to Diddy today (Nov. 7).
Aside from his joke, Diddy is having a great week so far. The Bad Boy Records founder received the Hollywood Documentary Award for Can’t Stop Won’t Stop at the 2017 Hollywood Film Awards on Sunday (Nov. 5).
